Our Warranties

Cain & Abel products are built to be used and cared for properly. Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, while recognising that some damage is the result of use, care, and environment.

Knife Warranty

All Cain & Abel knives are covered by a two year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty begins from the date your order leaves our warehouse.
What is not covered is rust, corrosion, chipping, breakage, or damage caused by neglectful care, misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow care instructions. Carbon steel knives require ongoing care, and damage resulting from poor maintenance is not considered a workmanship fault.
Each warranty claim is reviewed on a case by case basis.

Our 7-Day Risk-Free Terms & Conditions (Knives Only)

We understand that it can be hard to know if a knife is right for you until you use it.
If you purchase a Cain & Abel knife directly from our website and decide it is not for you, you may return it within seven days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. This policy applies to knives only and does not apply to wood products, leather sheaths, honing rods, or any other accessories.
The knife must be returned in original packaging, must not be broken or damaged, and must show evidence that care instructions have been followed. The seven day period begins from the date the knife is delivered to your address.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. This policy applies only to direct online purchases and does not apply to purchases made through stockists or at events.

Wood Product Warranty

Our chopping boards, chopping slabs, and chopping blocks are covered by a two year workmanship warranty against defects in materials or construction under normal household use.
Due to the natural characteristics of timber, this warranty does not cover natural wood movement, including expansion, contraction, warping, cracking, or splitting, cosmetic changes over time, or damage caused by improper care. This includes soaking, dishwasher use, prolonged exposure to moisture or heat, failure to dry or oil the product, or misuse.

Accessory Warranty(Leather Sheaths & Honing Rods)

Our leather sheaths and honing rods are also covered by a two year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by forceful use, improper handling, exposure to excessive moisture, misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear over time. Cutting through or damaging the stitching or thread of a leather sheath through customer use is considered misuse and is not covered under warranty.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for caring for Cain & Abel products in accordance with the provided care instructions. Failure to clean, maintain, store, or use the product correctly may result in damage that is not covered under warranty or the seven day trial.

Assessment & Resolution

All warranty and return claims require the product to be returned to Cain & Abel for inspection.
If a product is deemed faulty due to a workmanship or materials issue, Cain & Abel will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the product.
If the issue is determined to be caused by misuse, neglect, improper care, or normal wear, the warranty or return will be declined. The product will be returned to the customer in its current condition.

Our Return Process

To begin the process, fill out the form below. You will need to return the knife/product back to us at your own cost.

You must include in the box the following information: The Name The Order Was Made With, Order Number & Your E-mail.

Once the knife has been returned to our store, we will assess it and then process the refund. The refund can take up to 7days from when we receive the product back in our warehouse.
